The Friendship That Grew from a Good Deed

The Kind Little Mouse

Once upon a time, in a cozy little forest, there lived a tiny gray mouse named Mia. Mia was known for her kind heart and her cheerful squeak that brought smiles to everyone she met.

One sunny morning, Mia was out gathering seeds when she heard a soft cry coming from a nearby bush. She quickly scurried over and found a small bird with a broken wing. The bird looked frightened and weak.

"Don’t worry," said Mia in her gentle voice. "I’ll help you."

Mia carefully brought the bird to her tiny home, where she made a soft bed from cotton and leaves. She fed the bird crumbs of bread and drops of water, and every day, she sang songs to cheer her up.

As the days passed, the bird's wing began to heal. One day, the bird said, "Thank you, Mia. You’ve been so kind to me. How can I ever repay you?"

Mia smiled and said, "Kindness is its own reward! Helping you has made me happy."

When the bird was strong enough to fly again, she promised Mia, "I will never forget your kindness." She flew high into the sky, flapping her wings with joy.

From that day on, the bird often visited Mia. She would bring her shiny berries and seeds from faraway places. The two friends would sit together, laughing and sharing stories.

And so, Mia’s kindness brought her a lifelong friend, proving that even the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference.
